Žolinė (also known as the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary) is celebrated on August 15.
Origins:
The tradition dates back to 4th century Jerusalem
In Eastern Christianity, it is known as Dormitio ("Falling Asleep")
In Western Christianity, it has been observed since the 6th–7th century
In Lithuania, it is called Žolinė because herbs and flowers are blessed during the solemn Mass
